Beauty Products From Perricone MD Review

Today I’m sharing my thoughts on some beauty products that I was sent to try from Perricone MD for review.

If you are not familiar with the brand, it is an anti ageing skincare and makeup brand that was started by Dr Perricone, a certified dermatologist in 1997.

I had never heard of Perricone MD before being approached to try it out but as I looked into the products, I saw some great reviews so decided to try it for myself. This is not a natural product but many of the products are paraben free.

The first product that I tried was the No Lipstick Lipstick Set which includes three of the cult no lipstick lipsticks. The pack included the Super Berry (vibrant yet sheer berry shade), the original No Lipstick Lipstick (original sheer pink) and the Simply Nude (sheer warm nude). Pictured below they are swatched from left to right with the colours. I love these and I really love all three of these colours and think they are so easy to wear but my favourite has to be the original No Lipstick Lipstick and that has been the most used so far!

The lipsticks are quite sheer and look glossy but actually feel like lip balm rather than gloss on the lips as they are not sticky at all. They are a solid to serum formulation that is also anti ageing and sets to work on fine lines on the lips.

I think with them being quite sheer looking that they are great for summer and they also have SPF too. I really like the packaging of the lipsticks as they are made from metal and have a twist off lid which gives a really luxurious feel.

They left my lips feeling really hydrated and soft and I really loved using them. I would definitely consider buying the No Lipstick Lipstick again when they run out.

The second product I tried is the cult product of the brand, the Cold Plasma. This is a treatment that you use under your moisturiser and claims to address the most visible signs of aging using Dr Perricone’s Cold Plasma delivery system technology.

I have not really noticed any changes to my skin and have not yet seen any visible results but you have to give products a chance to start working so I have great hopes for this cult product. I have seen a lot of reviews that people don’t like the smell of this product but it didn’t bother me enough to stop using it. Overall I think Cold Plasma is a nice product to use but it’s yet to blow me away and at the luxury end of the market with its £125 price tag, I would need to see some great results moving forward to make me rebuy it.

The packaging although looks really nice is a bit of a problem for me. Being in a pot, I found it to be quite unhygienic and think it would be much better in a push down dispenser bottle.

The third product I tried was the H2 Elemental Energy* De-Puffing Eye Gel. I had high hopes for this eye gel as I do suffer from puffy eyes. The first few times I applied it I felt a really lovely cooling sensation upon application but it actually enhanced the puffiness and made them look worse! Then after a few days this stopped and the reverse happened, but I didn’t feel that it made a dramatic change, just slightly depuffed. It also changed the colour of my under eye to make it look more whiter and brighter which is great if you suffer from dark circles.

I absolutely love the packaging of the Perricone MD eye gel and think the brushed metal looks so sleek and luxurious!
